Air generally transports from south to southwest of the site along the Arizona and Nevada border in the summer. Occasionally, it comes from the California coast and from southeast (west Texas and New Mexico). Northern flow becomes important in the other seasons, especially during the winter.

Normalized residence time in the 20% worst days show predominantly southwesterly flow. Flows from central and occasionally eastern US are associated with 20% worst days, especially 20% worst sulfate days. Flows from California coast and northwest are also important in the 20% worst OC days. High CM days, which usually happen in March and April, have flows mostly from western of the site.
